In the mail..........

On June 20 a comment was left by Jo from the UK (JOZART blog) that she found my blog through the British Patchwork and Quilting magazine's Blog of the Month article.  I emailed her and asked if she could take a photo of the article and send it to me.  She not only did that but also sent me the actual magazine!!  Thanks Jo!!

On the sewing front, I got all 9 centers appliqued on the second set of 9 blocks.  I hope to get this one sewn together today and then I can baste both wallhangings.

I spied this butterfly outside my kitchen window.  It visited almost every coneflower in my back yard.

Wow! How very cool! You are famous around the world, but then, there is not a better blog out there! I love your Swallow tail butterfly. I have not seen any in my backyard so far this year.

That's pretty exciting Wanda! You definitely have a consistent colourful, inspiring blog! I'm always amazed at your productivity.
My coneflowers are just opening up here. They're a bit slower because I moved them.

Wanda, I am so happy for you and proud of the fact that I am one of your followers. What an honor to be featured in the 'Foreign Press'. It just goes to show that people all over, appreciate the color, variety of content and the talent you so graciously share with all of us who are so fortunate to be the recipients of your newsletter.

Yay, Wanda! You are very deserving or recognition--I never miss reading your blog each morning. Our yellow swallowtail butterflies began visiting about a week ago. As I'm sewing I can watch what is visiting the butterfly bush and they are great to see as well as the hummingbirds--can't get enough of them!

We don't have many flowers in our yard during the hot (over 100 today and for the next 3 at least) days of summer. But we still have butterflies looking for a drink. We leave our Mist selection on our hose end on and hang it in the nut tree where the lowest branch is about 5'. The bflies love the moisture, fly through it, actually, as do the other bugs and some birds. It's fun to watch.

This is so cool!!! Congrats for being recognized for your blog. You've put in a lot of hard work organizing it for us all. It's appreciated.

Then there is all the inspiration...

I, too, would've picked your blog for recognition! But with so very many blogs out there, I wonder how they decide which one to pick? Not that it matters. Good choice is all I have to say! They also chose a great pic to go along with their recommendation!
As you know, I'm decidedly not a gardner, nor a botanist, but if coneflowers need pollinators, I guess yours got pollinated yesterday! (Assuming it was the right time of year!).
