Recap....April 2014..........

I had two finishes for April.  The quilt on the left was started in August 2012 and the borders completed in Feb. 2013 and quilted in April 2014.  The quilt top on the right was made in Sept. 2013 and quilted April 2014.  It never seems like it is that long from start to finish.
These 3 tops were completed in April 2014.  The two on the left just needed top and bottom borders and the one on the right needed to be wider so lots of blocks were made into panels to go on the 2 sides and then a row of 3" squares were added to the top and bottom.
I made lots of dishcloths and didn't show some of them as I finished them.  The four on the left are made with ends from 2-4 balls of yarn.  They are the most fun to use, if you can call washing dishes fun.

Now on to May and some new projects as well as some finishes.  I have batting already cut for several and backings chosen but not sewn together for some.  There are still several tops waiting for borders so maybe I'll tackle them first.

The two finishes are great. If I have to chose (!) I pick the one to the left :-)
Congratulations to these two quilts.

I have been working on stuff but no finishes. I have all my fabric sorted yet again since we are moving about a half hour south of Austin, My husband got a promotion which meant he gets to commute to San Antonio for now since I still have a great job here in Austin. The move will put us closer to San Antonio than we are now.

You have been really successful getting things done. More so than what I have. Some days finishes seam far away for me. Chris

washing dishes isn't so bad, in fact when my dish washer finally can not be fixed anymore I'm thinking of getting rid of it and put cabinets in its space instead.
Love all your finishes so colorful and pretty.

What a great monthly achievement - you put me to shame!

But..... I have been inspired by your dishcloths, and after being gifted some part balls of knitting cotton, have made myself a couple. Will probably use mine for dusters, though.

I love looking at your work and to see so much together is great! My favourite is the Zig Zag one and I think it is because the white lines on the black sort of zig zag that the border looks so good. You know why but I have to work these things out for myself, your blog is like an Exuberant Color lesson for me!

Hello, I need to thank you so much for your hints and tips. I went on Amazon, found a $3.00 copy of the book, Spectacular Scraps and love it. I had just bought an Accuquilt Go so I have my HST ready to start on the design wall. Perfect timing on your part, LOL.
Thanks,
Lynda
