2 more..............

I cut two more pairs of fabrics and sewed them into rings.  These are some of my favorite prints.

I also pressed the backing for the Windy City flannel quilt and loaded it on my longarm and cut the batting.  No excuse now.

Those are great fabrics and great combinations. I guess I did not realize your blocks came from rings. I did not realize you trim off those great prints. Thanks for showing the book along with it, that helps.

I can see why you count these prints among your favorites and I love the way they pair up.

Since I know you don't waste anything-what will happen to those cut offs?

You always take a pattern and turn it into an extraordinary design, making it your own. Your eye for combining fabrics always makes me smile. 'Vintage Spin' and 'Wild Wedding' are two that really shows your awesome talent for just that.

It was 48 degrees for our night time temp. Raining today...and high in the 50's. We are lucky to have those temps in July, yet alone in March. I see Sandwich still is caught in those low temps. But you have sun.

Love these fabric choices, Wanda...esp. the purple one! These will add zip to those you've already created. Thanks for the look-see!

I too never realized the rings were made into blocks. I love the look of them and also a great way to use up some scraps of fabric. Went to the quilt show at Crest Hill today and was impressed by a few quilts. There are many talents people amongst us. For me the walking was a chore but it was a nice couple of hours.

Are you making the blocks from a specific group of fabrics; or are you selecting a variety of prints from your stash - i.e. more of a scrappy quilt? I have loved the look of so many of the blocks, but haven't tried to study them closely enough to be able to tell very much about the actual fabrics.
