11/12/13...........

I sewed 4 more strips on each of these blocks last night.  I have half of the blocks done for this last quilt in the series.  These are about 13" now and have to be a little over 15" to trim and be done.  Another batch is just 9".  Hopefully I'll have them all done at the end of the week.
A friend and I went to a Goodwill store yesterday.  They had 20% off all purchases so this pot was $1.60.  In the photo the lower half looks like a different color but that is just the reflection from the lights.  It is all the same shade of gray with swipes of white.  I also got an assortment of planters for 80 cents to $1.60 so I can start planting the coleus cuttings.
I don't know whether this person made the pot or just did the finishing color.  It has a really nice glaze inside and out.

It was snowing on the way home from church sewing circle in the afternoon.  We might have a half inch on the ground.

The leaves on the forsythia bush are still green but the overnight cold may take care of that.

That looks like a hand thrown pot. I use to do pottery too. Sometimes you can find good buys. The blocks are really looking nice. We had about the same amount of snow. Just a reminder Winter is coming. Chris

I like your gray pot--what a find! I lovehow your blocks are coming, too; that black center is just perfect. Hugs, Julierose

11, 12, 13. Catchy date : )
I have thoroughly enjoyed this series! Beautiful pot.
A light snow is in our forecast. Guess it's about that time of the year.

What a nice pot! It would look so pretty with the pink cacti in it.

Brr....that it a wintery looking scene. It probably won't last long, but it is pretty.

The name on the bottom of the pot is the person that 'threw' the pot. And she no doubt did the glaze also. I have done enough pottery pieces to know that the artist that 'threw' pot gets the credit. And Earla is my aunts name, I have never ever heard of her name until today.

Here I live in the mountains... and we do not have any snow in the valley yet.

Cold and windy here - we're just south of you enough that there is no snow. Definitely coat and hat day though!

the snow looks pretty - but I know it is cold - I haven't even been outside today yet and I know it is cold and windy here!

It's going to be cold here tonight, but no snow. :)

Loving those blocks more every time I see them. And what a great find!

The blocks are coming along! Great score on the pot. I love handmade pottery. Here today it snows, the sun shines, it gets overcast, then it snows again - every 15 minutes it changes!
