4 blocks............

The first four blocks (of 24) are finally up to 15.5".  I have another batch of 12 that are about 11-12" and the rest are still only 8-9" square.  About 80% of the strips are Kaffe Fassett fabrics.

The really fun part will be the design wall playing.  I didn't leave home for anything the last 2 days so I had a lot of sewing time.

If you look closely in the photo below, we were getting our first snow.  I know it's not very impressive since it didn't stick but a town about 20 miles west had 2".  We have had our first hard freeze too so the growing season is over.

Your blocks look great. The second layout is my favorite. We are to get more today. But they aren't saying how much. Need to get winter jackets out and get them washed. Chris

The blocks look good.... but a few more will look fabulous!!
You must have snow from the same storm that left a dusting in Iowa. The only venue to get snow if you listen to the news here. Erica Grow from CBS is here now!!! Funny how when I move, a weather person usually shows up from the last place I lived.(Africa is excepted because they don't really do weather)!

I love the first layout. It feels like I could fall right down that rabbit hole and end up in Wonderland.

OK, I was complaining when I had to take the dogs out at 41F but at least there was no snow. I really like your strip blocks. What size strips are you using?

Love those fabrics and blocks. Difficult to believe that it's time for cold weather.

The blocks are looking good. Yep, we did get some snow yesterday and I was out in it. It sure seemed cold and the dampness of the snain didn't help. Today is sunny which always makes the cold seem ok.

Oh Wanda ~ I love, love second photo layout, it has the unique 'exuberance' that you are known for.

And SNOW in ILLINOIS in OCTOBER yet ! My sister called me from Hobby Lobby in DeKalb yesterday and said, it was snowing.

I like the first design better. More like a Bento box. Snow! It is supposed to be 80 degrees here today.

I am loving all the assortment of strip sizes, and I am going with Gene down the rabbit hole to Wunderland.

Very pretty blocks! It will probably be a while before we have our first freeze. I'm waiting on it before I start trimming up some bushes we know are harboring wasp nests.

I love that second layout! Those blocks are such fun to look at.
You've got snow already? Thankfully, we've yet to see any.

Swoon Swoon Swooning!!! Looks like you are just going to have to make 2 of them 'cause I like both layouts!!

Such brightness added to a chilly day!

Love that 2nd layout and really like the first. What a great way to use up scraps that are too wonderful to through out. I am in Washington near Seattle watching our grandgirls. We have been treated to the most amazing display of beautiful color on the trees. We don't get that in always boringly sunny San Diego.
