Final decision........

Well............the top is sewn together.  Four times yesterday I thought it was the final design, and each time when I saw the photo on the computer monitor I knew I had to move a block.  In the late afternoon I was happy with it and sewed it together.  It is approximately 56" x 72".

My orange cactus plant has a bunch of new growth at the base of the plant.  This is so exciting because this one hasn't grown very much over the years.  I'm surprised that all of the cacti liked being in direct sunlight for 3 hours each morning.

Here is another view.  It has almost doubled in size as well as all of the new growth from the base of the plant.

I have some new fall flowers on the porch thanks to a sister-in-law and a niece.

I love the top, it "vibrates" with color and intensity. And that is a good thing!

Yes, the layout is great. It is complicated so I am sure that is what took the extra time to figure out. I love Christmas cactus. When the new plants start to grow into the arch and hang down, I know that they are on their way. They look real healthy. Because they are cactus, they love direct sun. The blooms are so terrific.

ooh, love the pops of floral color on your porch! and if you combine all the colors, with the black of the railing, it echoes the colors in your new quilt! (which is lovely by the way!)

The blocks look wonderful!!! The arrangement looks terrific too.

My Christmas cactus do well outside in the sun too. It will be exciting to see the blooms this year.

It turned out great. Some guy would be very happy to have that quilt.

It looks great. I like that the strong striped fabric is just a bit off center, and I like the distribution of green and turquoise.

I agree with Gene. This quilt is colorful and intense. Beautiful.
Plants coming along nicely, too. You have a green thumb.

I love it! It is absolutely perfect. The flowers make a happy statement, too. My grandmother always had Christmas cacti on her covered front porch. I don't think it had direct sunlight, but plenty of ambient light.

W-O-W This is fabulous, once again your keen sense of color/style wins out. Every time I see a new piece from you, I think they can't get any better and yet they do!

I like to use a design wall where you can leave it up and look at it occasionally without meaning too. Sometimes though I just have to stop! and sew!
