The next one..........

I have 2 groups of fabric chosen for the next 16 patch quilts.  This is one group.  I cut 2.5" strips of my African fabrics when I was cutting pieces to share with 2 friends earlier this year.  I will add in black strips too, all to be decided as I work on it.

Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments yesterday.  My friend enjoyed reading them too.  I had a busy day and didn't respond to the comments like I usually do.  I sold one of my embroidery machines to a mother and daughter team and told them I would give them a refresher course whenever they needed it.  I spent most of the day with them and they fed me a most wonderful feast for lunch with several desserts.  I should have taken photos but I was too busy eating.

Time with friends is very important now. I'm not a big social butterfly and friendships can help in hard times. Looks like you are well on your way to another series. Chris

I love African fabrics, too. I am very interested in how this one turns out. Do you have a reliable source for these fabrics? I used to buy them at the major quilt shows (Houston, Paducah) in the past, but I haven't seen the vendor, an African guy, in several years.

OMG Wanda, how big are the 16 quilts you plan to design ? Or does your design predict how big it ends up ?

I loved your garden series so much, I know this next series will be as exciting.

Wish I lived near to take that refresher course with your Mom and daughter team. You know I need one for sure. (*._,*)
