Oh what beautiful day............

I'm pretty sure this is the final layout.  I decided to anchor the corners with the darkest blocks.  Just before I take them off the wall to sew the top, I might change my mind and move a couple blocks.  It has happened before!

I was going to sew the top but it was such a beautiful day yesterday.  I needed to get outside and cut more of the volunteer trees and trim a couple bushes because it is free brush pick up day today.  I love the clear air of August and we are having cooler than normal weather which is fine with me.
I finished 2 more dishcloths.  I was surprised at the argyle type diamonds that were formed with the variegated yarn on the left.

I love the glow you have created by the dark corners.....so I vote to leave them there. It is just beautiful!

Yes! The darker corners make this reminiscent of a colorwash quilt. I love it.

If I want to pull anything out of the ground today would be a good day as we had 1 1/2 inches of rain last night - but more rain coming today I think too.
love the color layout

Oh my. I love how the darker blocks in the corners and the lighter blocks in the interior give it a color wash look.
Pretty dishcloths. My addiction. Thanks for posting pics of yours :D

Love your garden quilt. Great idea to put the darker on the edges. Think I'll get out my knitting needles. Thanks for the inspiration.

The dark corners really do make this quilt somewhat like a colour wash quilt! Love it!
I think we're having much the same weather - much cooler days and nights than normal for early August.

I too really like your dark corners on this piece. Gives this piece a 'Wandaful' design like none other.

Happy surprises always come out when making those dishcloths. You always knit such wonderful patterns.

I feel like our summer is coming to a close, no more 100 degree temps in the forecast... and it sure feels good to have our temps in the low to mid 80's.

Wow, I just love all your quilts, ambition and "STICKTUITIVENESS". That may or may not be a legitimate word, but I think it describes you very well.

This has a much different feel than the other top made with batiks. It really dances your eye across the whole quilt just like a field of wildflowers. Which one do you like the most of this pattern?? I have not knitted any dishclothes for awhile--they make excellent gifts!! I have made some a little smaller for new moms--they are soft on their little bodies. We had nice temps for a few mornings, but it is super hot and muggy today!! Take care
