Positive thinking...........

I only got 4 half rows sewn yesterday because I spent 6 hours on preparing for the garage sale.  I decided that rather than agonize over the time spent on the sale that I should think positive and know that I am simplifying my life and downsizing, something that has needed to be done for awhile.  The garage sale is just the byproduct of downsizing and some dollars toward my real estate taxes.
Both of my hydrangea bushes are looking good.  I think the blossoms will be big this year.

They start out white and then turn a lime green for the rest of the summer.

I bought some tiny coleus plants in two 6 packs.  I planted some in my variety pots and planted the remainder all together in one pot.  I just love them.  They are every bit as pretty as flowers.

Downsizing is a good thing, but it sometimes takes a lot of work to accomplish. You will be happier when the chore is over with though. The progress on quilt is coming along nicely. Chris

garage sales are such hard work - I hope you are able to get rid of a large portion of your stuff that you wish to.
My hydrangeas start out kind of green and turn to purple/pink/blue all on the same bush - must be the soil! they used to only be blue

How funny-we, too are having a garage sale this weekend. I have been systematically going through all cupboards and drawers asking myself, "Do I love this enough to move it"? I have said ,"no" so many times that I have a ton of stuff. My husband, however, is having separation anxiety over a huge saw he bought in 1978 and NEVER uses:)-but he is letting it go-good boy!

Your hydrangeas are beautiful. For some reason I can't grow them here-I have tried.

Time invested now re downsizing will pay off later when you feel even less like spending time on it! One item at a time . . .

The Hydrangeas here are spectacular this year - marvelously intense colors and so many shades!

It feels great to downsize, doesn't it? Like taking a load off your shoulders. Love your hydrangeas; they're one of my favorites.

I am also a big fan of coleus - non-stop color all summer, and they don't require any maintenance. My kind of plant! Good luck on the sale! This weekend?

Your flowers are beautiful. I understand what you mean about downsizing.

Downsizing has been my mantra for the past 2 months. We moved from 4 bedrooms and 3 baths to a 2-bedroom apt.
It seemed that our house needed a family, not just a couple of retiress using abot 1/4 of the space. It has been quite liberating.

All of the fabric stayed!

I helped my dad with some of this, it's easier when it's other peoples stuff!
