A bouquet............

My son came over to hook up my 2 hoses and do a couple other things and he brought me a pretty bouquet.  I spent almost 3 hours digging out weeds.  Some of the dandelions were huge with roots branching out in several directions instead of just straight down like they usually are.  I guess that is because of the mild winter and a longer growing season.  Today is church sewing circle so I am working on pillowcases before I leave at noon.

The flowers are lovely! Digging weeds on Mother's Day! You are as bad as I am! I spent two hours doing yardwork by myself. Those three hours of yardwork your son gave you though was a great gift! I bet between the two of you, your place is looking great!

Aren't our sons great. I too got a bouquet of flowers plus one of the other sons sent a gift certificate to the Fat Quarter Shop. Now what to buy.

pretty flowers - I hate weeds - and I get so many trees growing all over the place where I don't want them and they are at times next to impossible to dig and I have to kill them carefully instead

Very pretty flowers, and a visit from your son, a good day all around. I too, must get out in the yard for a few hours and start weeding. Golly, there are lots more this spring.

Your bouquet is so pretty. Flowers have become the traditional Mom's Day gift. Especially from our son's. Nice to be remembered.

Beautiful flowers .
You should see the dandelions on the grass verges where I live . I have truly never seen so many . I go round my garden every day pulling the flowers off.
I don't know what the solution for the grass verges will be they are council maintained .

Sounds like a nice day to spend outside! Hate those dandelions. I sprayed about a million that were coming in the grass last week. They are slowly dying.

I think the weeds here are on steroids sometimes. Pretty flowers. What a good son!
