A 3 block day.....

These 3 blocks went together smoothly.  I still haven't decided on the black fabric for the strips.  I think I will make a bunch more blocks first and then lay them on several choices to see what works best.
I finished this double knit dishcloth.  That is sunshine coming across it, a beautiful day yesterday in the high 60s.
When you look at the back of the dishcloth you can look through the back knit and see the front knit.  The back is flat, the front is ribbed.  This one is really thick.  The designer says forks won't go poking through this one while you are washing them.

Wanda, those colours together are so good, maybe a really dark blue, I have not seen a black batik, but you might have them there. Or the deepest green, I'm sure when they are done and you lay them out, the right strip colour will be there for you. Do you do the pattern on freezer paper, then stitch on the reverse side on the drawn lines? They are indeed superb.. Cheers from Jean.

Wanda, a second comment, I have been getting so many anonymous comments, I went to ' comment moderation" and none gets posted until I click the "publish" " delete" or " spam " box. It means any comment does not show until I log on at a later time, but the spam ones never get through the first gate. They also come to my email, and I can check them there too.I am amazed that people take time to do these stupid things, maybe that is their total occupation!!! Greetings from Jean

Wanda, this morning, you mentioned the knitting stitch you used for the dishcloth, what is the name of it, do you know? I have a hat that I wear for my walks and it is knitted the same way, with the back flat and the front ribbed and I have been searching for another one like it. The hat is so very effective for keeping out the wind and cold up here in the north west.
Could you please elaborate on this? Many thanks.

I just picked up the Stepping Stones pattern. never thought to do it in anything but batiks. You are getting my brain whirling! Kaffe's fabric looks fabulous. I will be watching your progress closely!

The stones look great. I love it in the Kaffe fabrics.

I like the dishcloths too. Is the pattern for them available online?
