More triangles, rooting plants....

The reunion was great and I think Dad enjoyed seeing his cousin who is 94 and comes every year from California.  In fact she is the one who reserves the forest preserve building every year by calling on Jan. 2 to be sure she gets it.  Last night I sewed some more triangle squares using kid prints.  I will be making some doll quilts and I'll link to the blog where they are going when I get the quilts finished.
Here are some of the Coleus slips that I am rooting.  I think they are ready to plant or move to larger containers if I leave them in water all winter.
If someone within driving distance of Sandwich IL would like some blue jean parts to make a quilt with, I need to get rid of all of this.  I am making one more quilt with the jeans but I have all the pieces I need already cut.  These are all the softer jeans, easier to work with.  I threw away all of the heavy stiff pieces.  The pile on the right has some really neat pockets in it.  My email link is on the right side bar or leave a comment if you are interested in them.
Here is the recipe for the frosted creams.  I never bake it longer than 30 min.  If you want to make it come out thicker in a smaller pan you might need the extra minutes.

I like that the frosted creams serves "a lot"!! That's a good quantity since they are all so yummy.

Glad the reunion was a great time for all.

You certainly have a good start on next summer's plants. Do you keep them under lights in your garage or in a sunny window?

Thanks for the recipe. I'm glad the reunion went well.
I have had probs with retinal detachment. In my case, retina came loose but did not detach. Happened a year apart in each eye. I'm ok (no surgery needed, or at least not yet), but keep watchful eye (pun to make you laugh).

I hope your eye issues are as easily resolved as mine have been.
Best, Michele

Another great Sunday post Wanda, just seeing the 'kid prints' makes me smile. They are so charming.

And your starters for Coleus all gathered together looks like another of your creative displays. Mother Natures colorful combinations always take my breath away.

I wish I did live closer... I would bring over my stash and dump it on top of yours. (*._,*) That wasn't nice to say was it ?

Frosted Creams has to be a good ole midwest recipe. Just like my Mom's recipe.

You got two messages for the price of one. Must be this cool frosty air that slowed the computer waves down. I didn't think it went through fast enough so I hit the publish your comment twice. I apologize.

Thanks for the recipe. I'm definitely going to give it a try. Is the icing buttercream? Your coleus are so pretty and such a variety. They were the first houseplants I ever grew many years ago.

Thanks for posting the recipe for the frosted creams. I love gingerbread, so I am giving them a try - great weather for baking in Ohio. The doll quilts are so colorful and pretty; I don't think 2" will make a bit of difference.

I'm so glad that your dad enjoyed the reunion. His cousin sounds like a spunky gal.

Cute little hst blocks. Love the prints.

I can't wait to see your gorgeous coleus plants next year. It is a good thing you got them inside before the cold set in there.

I love frosted creams...we used to make them all the time growing up, and I have made them as well, though not for a long time....My mom liked to put raisins in them sometimes too.
Sorry to hear you have some eye problems and I hope it is all resolved soon. It is so scary to have health issues, almost more so when you don't know exactly what is going on. Sometimes it is better when they have it all figured out, at least you know what you are dealing with.
