Cutting kits.........

I decided to dive right in and start cutting the I Spy quilt kits.  Each fabric has to be spritzed with water and pressed to get out the fold marks from storing the fabric folded and stacked on shelves.  The pressing takes as long as the cutting.  I have 37 fabrics cut so far.  3/4 of the kits are spoken for already so I hope to finalize the number of pieces in the kits by Tuesday night.  There are bug prints in the kits.  The kids love them.  There are grasshoppers, dragonflies, butterflies, ants, and prints with lots of different kinds of bugs on them.  Cutting the fabrics brings back the memories of being the buyer for the quilt shop.  We had a reputation of having lots of kids prints for the I Spy quilts and floral fabrics for Colorwash Trip Around the World quilts.  I left that store 12 years ago and selections have changed.  In case you are reading this at a later date than when it was published, all kits have been spoken for.

I am officially sitting on my hands so I don't volunteer myself to buy one of those kits. :o) I am at the stage where I need to assess how many I Spy quilts one person needs... (But I want one really badly... It is an illness.)

I would like to purchase one of your I-spy kits. Let me know the cost and particulars. I made 2 last year for Grandchildren and have 3 more to make so each of my children have one for their kids....Not one for each grandchild or I'd never catch up.

Wanda
Could I be added to the list of anxious and happy buyers of these kits? I would love one for my grandson.

Hi Wanda...I'd like a kit, too, if possible. I could also pick it up, if that would be more convenient. Thanks !

I love making I spy quilts. For no particular reason I collected a lot of novelity fabrics over the years and it was a good thing since I am using it now for I spy quilts. I like to put fruit and veggie fabrics along with animals and bug. A Sponge Bob square pants suare along scores big points with kids. Then if I know the parents I will add a something in for them to find - like beer or wine bottles. I'm bad!

I would be interested in a kit too, but have a feeling I'm to far down on the list.

I am a *half-full* kinda of quilter so add me to that list.

My own I Spy collection is small but with a kit perhaps it would work. Now to find them...

Those that are on your list for the "I Spy" kits are getting a great collection of prints that are difficult to find today.

I can see it has always been much time and talent to make those kits. You really are a special, giving lady Wanda. I am working on my batik color wash again. Each little square is a treasure.

Any chance you have one left?
