Lots of sidetracks........

Some days are full of sidetracks, things that keep you moving but aren't worth blogging about.  I did sew some more groups of the hand dyed fabrics and cut some more triangles for the other quilt.
The plants in pots are still doing great.  That makes up for the sick fried garden in the back yard.  Where I usually had big lush hostas, I have crispy edges on all of the leaves and some have died back totally.  Lots of them didn't bloom this year either.  I think they will all come back OK next year if we get some decent rain in the spring.

We cut back our Hostas and they are coming back up again. They were crispy and ugly and we decided it was time. Some days have lots going on that isn't worth blogging about. Hope you can sew some today. Chris

I have a couple hostas that died off early on in summer because the heat was too much for them and I just noticed yesterday that I have new leaves coming up out of the ground - I didn't think they would do that until next spring.

Such beautiful, bright fabrics.
I have only one hostas left. The others looked fried most of the summer and I gave up. Will try some more heat tolerant plants next year.

There are days like that. After all who would be interested in knowing that you cleaned the whole house and it took all day?????

I hope that you will have a much kinder summer next year for your plants.

You are so right that some days are full of sidetracks ... I admit most of my days are full of "sidetracks" and I am always playing 'catch-up'.

I have been working on my kits every evening and can not believe what a challenge it has been. So glad I bought two kits to accomplish a gradation of color.

As always vibrant color combinations on your triangles. And to rescue those plants from your summer temps looks like it has paid off.

I think maybe you included this Coleus photo just for me.......I'll just imagine that for awhile anyway as I love to see your plants.

Thanks Wanda.

My gardens have been a big disappointment this year, too. Crazy weather, I think is the cause. And thank God for potted plants! They do ease the pain.

A lot of my days are full of side tracks! Sometimes at the end of the day I look back and wonder that I accomplished anything at all.
