How to stay awake at a garage sale.......

Garage sales in my town are not the bustling events they used to be.  By 2 p.m I was struggling to stay awake so I went in the house and got 2 Grabbags for Crazies from Cherrywood fabrics and sorted them by color.  That woke me up!  I sold the cedar chest that my cousin decided not to take on Wed. and that was my main goal for the sale.  I sold a lot of little stuff too but money wise it wasn't big.  Now I can get my wheelbarrow back inside my garage in the space where the cedar chest had been for 3 years.  Hopefully tomorrow I'll be back to quilt related blogging.
In answer to the questions about my colorwash kits yesterday, yes I will have them for sale on my Wandaful blog in August.  4 of the 5 people who asked me had either 'no reply' status because they don't have their email enabled in their Google account or a returned email for some reason.  I couldn't respond to any but one of the 5.  If you are interested I have an email link on my right sidebar and I'll keep the email in a special folder and let you know when they are ready.

We've only ever held one garage sale - DD and WM did it all and kept all the takings; not much for a whole day's work (not to mention all the work that went in before hand!)

out here in the country I haven't bothered with garage sales for years - one year shortly after I came here I held one and I only had a couple people show up and that was with advertising in the newspaper - now I bring to Goodwill type of stores.
Maybe it was the heat that kept people at home?

Our daughter and DIL did one last weekend and did pretty well with it. Glad that you got rid of some of the stuff anyway as it does feel good to purge.

The Cherrywood fabric is so wonderful - I've seen their booth at PIQF but have never purchased any. The grab bag seems the way to go!

July is a full of visitors for me ~ August slows down a bit. I will be checking "Wandaful" sales room for your color wash kits.

Glad you were able to sell your cedar chest at your garage sale. And being able to color organize your bag of fabrics, waiting for your next customer in your nice warm summer sun. (*._,*)

You amaze me! You have such energy and always get so much done. If I'm struggling to stay awake at 2pm, I'd take a nap!

I got all excited at first thinking you found the fabric at the garage sale until I read. I was thinking, that was lucky.. I never find fabric at garage sales. I am glad you did well with your sales.
