A Productive day......

This was the blank canvas at the beginning of the day yesterday.
This is the same wall looking to the back.  They have movable pedestals so we can get creative.  The floor is cement that is finished with many different colors.
The first 2 pieces are up and measuring for the third that will hang below them.
I stayed on the floor and played director while they climbed the ladders.  We got a lot accomplished but have lots of small details to take care of today.
I don't remember if I mentioned that I had mugs made with photos of some of the quilts on them.  I also have note cards and postcards.  The pedestals work great for little displays.  We were tired and hungry so we just set a few things out and left.  We went to see the movie "The Avengers" last night.  I have not seen any of the previous movies with these superheroes in them.  It was a good movie.

Oh, I never like the look of that tall a stepladder.......*shiver*

But as long as YOU weren't climbing on it, it's ok. :)

How great to have that lovely blank canvas to fill.

this is so exciting for you I'm sure - having the walls come alive with such color is amazing - great idea to have the coffee cups made up and with the mug rugs - really if you are not a quilter would you know what a mug rug was?
Thanks for posting the photos I would have loved to go see your show but this is the second best thing to being there.

what a great idea to make those mug rugs. gives people a chance to take home a piece of the action. and seeing your quilts on the wall so beautifully displayed definitely gives a sense of "action"... and, of course, exuberance! I wish I could be there!

Oh Wanda ~ Looks like a wonderful gallery to hang your master pieces. Only wish I could be there for Opening Day. Not only your show, but a lovely tribute to you also.

And those pedestals ~ perfect for your mug rugs and mugs ! AND no, I do not remember you mentioning you had mugs made to match the quilts. The sets will fly out the door !

oh it is BEAUTIFUL, Miss Wanda ! I had hoped to be there tomorrow night but my husband is not crazy about me traveling home on that long straight stretch all alone late at night.

so ... I think I spy a Jumbled Library 2 mug - if there is a duplicate that can be put away for me Thursday morning, I would be VERY grateful. If not possible, no problem -

I will be there next Thursday morning with bells on my toes.

If you need a break from the set-up, ask your daughter to take you to see Metalmorphosis - I think you would appreciate the visual factor
