I quilted a few more mug rugs and got the binding on them.
Here is the quilt that these cut pieces were from. I still have a few more pieces left but I may give them to my friend and be done with them.  I made this quilt in 2007 so that's how long left over pieces in little plastic bags hang around in my house.
I put the binding on the last 3 that I quilted a couple days ago.  Now there are 6 in that group, all similar but different.
The Jack in the Pulpit plants are tall and the leaves are so huge.  I guess I didn't need to worry whether they would like to be in the sun instead of the shade they were used to in previous years.  We got a lot of rain in the last couple days so that might account for the growth spurt too.  Lots of thunder and lightning last night.

Tremendous thunderstorms here. The lightning was ferocious. We had hail bouncing all over for a while, too. Everything here has been flattened by the weight of the rain and the wind. Hope it will perk up as the day goes on. Glad you are OK there! Love the colors in the top photos!

I've bags of scraps left too, but I've been slowly getting rid of them, one way or another. I have a box of hand pieced diamonds that make stars-- enough for a table runner. I have a friend who loves hand work that I'm going to offer them to.

re: Sunday post ~ Amaryllis is stunning to say the least. I don't get excited about our grosbeaks, the flock comes in and takes over our feeders.

Todays post : Love your floral mug rugs, so pretty.

2007 star quilt just dazzles... mug rugs as well. Another great post today Wanda.

Ah yes, little pieces in plastic baggies. I have quite a collection of those (and 2007 doesn't seem all that long ago, in quilt-leftovers time.) Some I have plans for, others are merely too potentially something to let go of. Mug rugs are a great solution! I see some in my future...

Those mug rugs are so rich!! Left-over pieces in little plastic bags seem to come in handy, no matter how long they've been hanging around.
