Rainbow River quilting......

I wanted the quilting on Rainbow River to resemble ripples in the water.  After procrastinating for 2 days since loading this quilt I finally tackled it and it only took 2 hours to quilt it.  I had to change the bobbin color three times and the top color 4 times.
I had it laying on the table to be trimmed and the sunlight was coming in the basement window and shining across the quilt.
I am fairly happy with the quilting.  I hope I will be liking it better by the end of the day today.  I rarely like the quilting right after I have done it.
The binding needed to match each edge somewhat so these are the choice I'm using.  I got the binding sewn on last night and started the hand sewing.

It's beautiful. I volunteer to take it off your hands if it doesn't grow on you :-))

Gorgeous! I often don't like what I've done right afterwards but it often goes away.

I'm the same way with my quilting. The further away I get from the actual labor, the more I usually like it. I think your work is beautiful.

The quilts you do are all beautiful. I too have to live with my work for awhile before I start really liking it. Today is the day that I am tracing patterns so that I get the christmas quilt started with the embrodiery. I have looked at the pattern and fabric for months. Today is the day.

Your quilting looks like water. An excellent choice, in my humble opinion. I'm looking forward to seeing a picture of your quilt using 6 different fabrics in the binding.

That one shot with the sun coming in makes it look just like ripples. I love it.
