Layout trial......

I made a few more black and white wedges but I won't sew them onto the other pieces until I have them all made.  I can see I need the distribution of the black and white to change positions more in the wedges.  This will look a lot different when it is sewn because I don't have the pieces lined up nice and tight right now.  It is kind of boring with just red/orange/yellow in it but it is my trial piece using wedges that were already made and leftover from another project.
I just can't get enough of these beautiful blooms.

This is going to be one fabulous quilt! The bright bursts of orange and yellow are fantastic against the black and white fabrics.

Alright - THAT is going to be really super duper cool!

I like it the way you have it, but maybe a gray and white combination could be worked into the black and white wedges. Just a suggestion. Chris

The orange/yellow against the black/white is very striking. This will be really neat when finished.
Thanks for showing how you thought about it and broke it down on the paper.

Ooh....
I actually don't find it boring to just see it on the white. I see the white space as an opportunity for quilting... But the black and white is a lot more "you".

Boring?! Not so! The variation in your wedge combos give it added zing. It will be beautiful.

Love the rounds of sunshine with the B&W, like the sun coming out of the dark sky.

Yeah, I think I'd prefer it if all the orange/yellow/red blooms had 2 different sets alternating per bloom like the top 2. And yes, the blacks and whites almost scream "Wanda".

This is going to be a fun piece to work ... looks like blossoms of spring bursting through the black 'n white stars.

I love the black and white. Your Christmas cactus is fantastic. I love it in the winter when there are flowers blooming in the house.
