2 bindings......

The first binding I finished was on Crooked Cobblestones 1, which I should have finished in January.  I'm glad I decided on binding instead of facing.  This is 2 down and 12 yet to finish before the first of June.  I also printed 4 more labels, 2 of them for quilts that are done and just needed the label.
This close up shows the binding better, the same fabric that is on the back of the quilt.  I like the way the color changes so it isn't real noticeable that there is a binding.
The second binding is on the QOV #3 so I could get it washed and ready to take to the sew in today.

I wish I could say I was that busy yesterday. The binding on the Crocked Cobblestone does stand out well for the finish on this quilt. Keep up the good work and when you get done I have some things that need finishing. LOL Chris

I just did an envelope style binding on a small piece. I'm curious as to why you might have done a facing.
I like the binding by the way.

I've followed your example and have just finished 3 quilts (of the 4 that have ever gotten to this stage!). the first one I gave to a baby without washing it, didn't know I was supposed to. do you wash your quilts before you consider them done? why? to give them that final quilty pucker? do you really send them through the washer or just dunk them? then squeeze them out and dry them flat? or run them through the spin cycle and then the dryer? thanks for all the info and inspiration! I love CrCob#1!

Oh Wanda I am just kicking myself that I have never signed up for one of your color classes--this summer it is happening! Oh wait, are you still teaching through the shop?

I enjoy seeing your finished quilts. As always each one is so different from the last one but always with your signature "exuberant color".

That backing and binding fabric for the Cobblestone are so perfect in both places. Don't you just love it when that happens!

I like that QOV a lot, too.
