Nice cool morning.........

I got up to the hospital about 7:25 a.m. hoping to get there before my dad's dr. came, but she had already been there and was gone.  There is a scene of the new Superman movie being shot up there this morning between 6 and 10 so she probably wanted to be in and out early.  A lot of the movie is being shot in the next town east of us (Plano, IL) where they have built fake buildings in the downtown area.  Kevin Costner is playing Superman's dad and the scene this morning was Superman as a small boy.

Dad is doing OK this morning but his legs still aren't working right so I told him he will be going to the nursing home when he leaves the hospital and he's OK with that.  He asked me if there would be anyone to help him when he got there.  I assured him they will be there if he pushes the help button.

I have added some things to my Wandaful Quilts blog (link on right sidebar).  I have neglected it for too long.

Glad your Dad is doing better. We were in Plano several weeks ago and saw all the "fake" buildings. It is interesting how they do all that.

I'm thinking Dad's a bit of a real life Superman himself, Wanda.

I'm glad he's O.K. with going to the nursing home. Maybe he'll even be a little relieved once he realizes someone is always there. I hope you're taking it O.K.

sorry your dad will need to go to the nursing home, but sometimes for more care you just have to make that choice. I had heard a new superman movie was being made - who plays Superman?

So glad to hear your Dad is ok w/the nursing home. That will at least be one less thing for you to worry about.

Enjoying the modular quilt tutorials. And even better, it's giving me ideas! Thanks for blogging about them!

Was happy to read that your Dad seems to be improving enough to move onto the nursing home. I sure know he will be a priority for awhile.

How you have been able to accomplish as much as you do with your designing, and the extra concern now, with your Dad always amazes me.

Just know I am thinking about you.

Glad he is feeling better. It is so frustrating to try to catch the drs. and the nurses don't always want to give out the info. When will he be able to leave the hospital.

Hi Wanda,
Love that modular quilt you've been showing us! What a great way to showcase spectacular fabrics.

Glad to hear your dad is on the mend. Hopefully the nursing home isn't too far of a drive for you...

Sending good vibes your way.

I am glad that you Dad is doing better. Is the nursing home close by?

It is always fun to watch a movie being made. When I owned my business downtown they filmed Red Heat with Bulishi and Swartzenhager, not sure of the proper spelling, but they transformed the whole neighborhood. They also had a nighttime thunderstorm filmed when the sun was shining. It was so much fun to watch.

How timely that you listed WC strips on your other blog. I am doing a strip pieced watercolor tutorial tomorrow....so I will put in a link to the blog. BTW, I am drooling over some of the fabrics! Lol.
