Clean table? Not for long........

My youngest granddaughter was bringing over a black prom dress that needed a little alteration so I cleaned my sewing table.  After she left I figured I would quilt one of the crooked cobblestone quilts that I had spray basted.
Here it is the next morning with the west light coming across it.  I just ditch quilted between blocks and around center squares in the center of the quilt.

For the borders I bounced straight lines at all angles from the outside to inside edge all around the quilt.  I have trimmed it and am looking for binding while I decide if I am going to do any more quilting in the center.

While the table was clean I decided to take my zebra fabrics off the shelf and look through them.  This is how the table looked when I went to bed last night.

Here are 2 photos of some of the zebra prints.  The ones I didn't take photos of are the ones with more than one kind of animal on them.

This pile of fabrics was with the neutral color zebra prints.  I bet a lot of you didn't think I had any fabric like this.

This is the whole stack divided in 2 as it came off the shelf.  The colorful zebra prints are on another shelf.  I think my next quilt has to use a zebra print and then I need to think about selling some of the rest of them.  I only have one lifetime to use all of my fabric so I need to be selective.

What fun! Zebra prints are always so interesting and add zing. You're right, I have collections of fabric that, while I'd like to use some in a quilt occasionally, I know I'm not going to use them all. Like your lots o'zebras! Where do you sell you extra fabric? After cleaning my closet, I've found things I don't love anymore. Love the cobblestone :-)

Those prints are so much fun! They would make a great binding on your quilt. Love how the quilt is coming out too. The quilting is perfect.

Great assortment of zebra fabrics. Guess that is why there are none in the shops LOL. You got them.

Great Crooked Cobblestone piece. The border works perfectly.

The crooked cobblestone quilt looks great. You only have one lifetime to get it all sewed up, but they way you sew, you might be able to get it done! What about a simple quilt with larger blocks using lots of your zebra fabrics. Then you could enjoy them hanging on the wall or over a chair.

Love the bounced lines on the cobblestone quilt (Love that quilt, too!)

Looks like we'll see fun zebra work soon? :D

Your cobblestone quilt is sooo pretty! And you are so right about only one lifetime! I wish I discovered quilting long ago - I have lots of time to make up for! If I only I didn't have to work full time...

Love the Zebra prints.
I have always wanted a chair with uplostery in Zebra like my friend Vivian.
Maybe I could satisfy the urge with Zebra prints and quilting.

I had no idea that there were that many zebra prints! I know it's a collection that spans a lot of time but sometimes I get the feeling that the only animal printed fabric is cat-themed!

Fun fabrics! It will be interesting to see what you create with them.

Your crooked cobblestones quilt is so pretty and I like the way you've quilted it. Those zebra prints are gorgeous! I am hoping you're going to use a bunch of them and inspire me yet again. (I have lots of chicken fabrics I want to use in a quilt, but that PING of knowing what to do with them hasn't hit me yet.)

I had no idea they even made that many different zebra fabrics!! Those are gorgeous.

I love the quilting you did!

Your Cobblestone quilt is lovely! You've a lot of Zebra's--should be good fun to come up with a good use for your favorites!

I am so happy to see all your zebra prints and even happier to think that you are going to use some/many of them in a quilt or two! What is it about our stash that often stymies us? (the large pieces throttle me ~ it's special, I don't want to cut into it is another).

GO FOR IT!

Oh, yum. If you do decide to sell off some of these zebra prints, make sure my name is on the bidding list! I love them and only have a few... :-(

I have not seen any of those zebra fabrics - in fact, I am not sure I have seen fabrics that were exclusively zebra fabrics. How fun they are- I have a few animal fabrics that are jungle like and the odd strippy fabric that could be considered zebra stripe but I have not seen ones with zebra bodies.
You have the best fabric collection.
This weekend I went through my pail of scraps and cut some strips for a new quilt- as usual I have way more fabrics that are darks or brights than I have of pastels or lights/ neutrals. It is always the same in my fabric boxes- lots of color- less neutral. I expect it probably is the same for you .
Happy quilting,
Regards,
Anna

The cobblestone is still a favorite of mine. I'm just finishing mine up and still love it. I tire quickly sometimes. I love the zebra prints too and I'm not surprised you had those tucked away.

Wow! Lots of zebras. I am surprised that you have found so many zebra fabrics. I have a couple, but I do not see many around here.

I have stash envy!!!

Also, I like the zig-zag quilting you did in the borders of your quilt, I think I'm going to do that in a future quilt.

It is nice to have a clean table if only for the moment. Your zebra prints are interesting. I have never purchased anything with an animal on it. I usually go for that all over print. Why is it that everyone elses stash looks better than our own?
