Class results......

I had to change the setting on my camera and by mistake got the portrait setting which blurred this photo slightly.  I love the use of stripes in Trip Around the World.  This is a student's beginning of a lap size quilt.

I took this photo early in the class and forgot to take one when she had 18 strips on the design wall.  I showed her fabric selection here (scroll down) when she came to my house to have me help putting them in order.  The color is better in the photo taken at my house.  I think the fluorescent lights in this classroom affect the photos.  This student is making a lap size quilt.

I had the wrong setting on my camera for all 3 of these photos.  This is all Kaffe Fassett fabric and isn't this yellow in real life.  This student is making a queen size quilt.

The other 2 students didn't get anything up on the wall and they are making queen size too.

I took the photo of mine at home so the color is truer.

It started to snow last night.  I hope the prediction is right that it will only be a dusting of snow.  I'm typing this at midnight and setting it to post at 5 a.m. so I won't know until morning how much snow we got.

so many different looks using the same pattern.
Lighting makes all the difference - I find that out all the time.

It is nice to see all the different variations on this quilt. I always find it amazing when the fabrics are so different at how much the look of the quilt differs too. Hope you don't get too much snow.

All the beginnings are looking good. Isn't it interesting to see how very different the same pattern looks with different fabric choices!

Your students have done you proud ! And they should be proud that you have shared their talents with your blog follower's.

You're absolutely right--the stripes really do add an interesting touch to the trip-around-world and bargello quilts. The wavy black fabric in this last photo is a unique choice too.
Lovely photos to tempt us all!
