Last embroidery block

I embroidered the last block yesterday afternoon.  This was the free design for December on Embroidery Library's website.

I put a flannel square in the top right and bottom left corners.  I already had the extra flannel squares cut and didn't think I needed 2 more embroidery blocks.  I sewed it together last night.  It is only 45" x 60" so I'm thinking about a border.

I had to take a photo of my bird feeder with its snow cap.  The squirrels came by later and knocked all of the snow off trying to get into the seed.

Just one more snow photo.  This is goldenrod with snow caps.  The
snow actually is pretty if you can stay inside to enjoy it.

The last block is really pretty!! But I have to say that I am cold just looking at your photos. We don't have an ounce of snow yet, and I am glad. It does look pretty though.

I love that last embroidery block. Cute! We got rain. I kind of wish it had been snow though. we had a nice white ground cover from a couple of weeks ago and now it's gone.
i like to snowshoe in the woods.

snow is beautiful, and the quilt squares with the embroidery are so cute - are you making this as a gift? When you make a quilt with denim on the top what do you use for backing and do you use batting? I have never made one with denim.

I like all your blocks and the way you paired them with the flannel. this will make a lovely throw, and in plenty of time for Christmas!

The snow is so pretty to look at, I'm always fascinated at how the caps can form on the thinnest of branches. Nature is truly awesome...

Just adorable...those 3 birds are. You find the best embroidery designs. This quilt just makes me happy to look at it. Brings back the childhood memories of the Christmas season.

Your photo's are always a treat.

The birds surely do make a pretty block. That is a really pretty layout and going to be a very nice quilt. Is it for you or a Christmas gift?

Your snow pictures a so pretty. I can't say I envy you the cold, though. It's cooler here today, but still sunny and pretty. I'm watching my chickens bustling around in their pen through my open window and listening to their happy little voices.

We grew up in WI and have lived in MN so now that we live in CA - far from the mts - we miss the snow. I loved how quiet it makes the world, and the crunch under foot, and I especially miss the big flakes drifting down. Thanks for the memories, Wanda.

That is a really cute quilt!

You didn't get all the snow as here in Ohio we got some of it.

Such a darling block for a wonderful quilt. I like your setting design. It looks so warm and cozy.

I am glad we do not have any snow. I know I would be constantly falling down and getting all wet and possibly breaking something!

I'm in love with that block, and this quilt! Snow, just in time to make it all merry and bright in your parts. Well done.

What a cute and comfy-looking quilt! And the embroidery is very sweet. Someone is going to be very cozy under that.

We haven't had snow yet, but I look forward to it only because I'm a teacher! Isn't that awful?! :-)

That birdblock is too cool!
I have always thought of the embroidery modules to sewing machines as a bit unneccesary - but now I am not so sure!

Very pretty, this seems like a big departure for you. I didn't realize you did this type of embroidery. How fun!
