Post #1300, I like those round numbers.........

Both of my brothers and I were in the same house today, something that happens rarely with one living across the country from the rest of us.

Here is the combination I chose yesterday.  I wanted a deep purple and it was hard to find it's partner.  This green batik had the colors in it that I wanted even though I don't care for the print.
I have the pieces made for all 3 blocks but was too tired to sew the last 2 together.

I have lousy cell phone reception so I called the company for the third time to try to figure out what has happened to the signal in the last few months.  They still can't give me an answer, but PLEASE don't leave us.  I don't see how I can stay with them when I have no bars, one bar, or roaming most of the time.  It's frustrating.

That Kaffe fabric is one of my fabrics. It is a pity they don't make it anymore. I love the combo with the green too. Don't companies, in general, sometimes just push you to the limit?

Congrats on 1300 - Wow! The purple and green are wonderful.

This is my favorite combination so far.

Very pretty. i don't mind the green print. It's a nice foil for the purple one.

Oh!!! Yes I love those colours.
How nice to spend time with your brothers.
Even in Aussie we have lots of problems with telcos. Very frustrating.

Reception seems to be an issue with several companies. My son had to change. The blocks are all looking really good. The contrast really works. Glad you got to see your Brothers.Enjoy your visit. Chris

I love the 2 colors together in that block and they didtract from the pattern, We had a cell phone provider tell us just before renewal time that they were improving service in our area and even showed us where they were going to put the new tower. 3 months later the same salesman told us that there was nothing they could do and that a new tower would make no difference. I just feel out of touch with that part of the cell phone technology because after a year and a half another cell phone provider that has a tower location farther away bought out our old contract and sold us their phone and it consistently works in our home, local stores etc. I don't understand!

The two fabrics worked so well together. I look forward to seeing them added to your ever growing quilt!

Verizon, by any chance?

Love the color combo. It's going to look great with the rest of the blocks!

that happened to us with one of our cell phones about 8 years ago - we got it, had great signal out here in the country which we normally didn't have - enough signal that we canceled our home phone and just went to the cell. Then all of sudden hardly any signal! After several months of roaming the house & yard looking for a signal we had to get our land line put back in. - that company too couldn't understand why we were discontinuing their service!
So far the service we started this year is working to the point where all we are using once again is the cell service.

Bet that you had a wonderful visit with your brothers.

I like the combination on those fabrics. It will be a terrific addition to the rest of the blocks.

Love this color combination.

Someone told me once that if you live or are in an area of a lot of trees that interferes with the signals. :P
Not sure I believe that but....I have bad reception on mine at home all the time and that was their answer.

Green and purple is the best color combination ever. The only thing that could be as good, would be if you added in some yellow!
Cell phones, computers, etc..... all drive me crazy, but we HAVE to have them, don't we?

I'm frustrated with you. My cell phone which has had wonderful service (full bars) inside my house has recently been getting barely one bar. I have asked and no answer is given. One tells me it is my phone, and one tells me I live in an "edge" area. But my house hasn't moved and I used to get good reception. My phone is up for a new contract and I think I will be doing some shopping around. I know for one thing I will have three days on any contract to cancell it so I will be testing any phone I get WELL in those three days.

Love the purple and green! Regarding your phone, you haven't gotten any new electrical appliance type things like a wireless laptop or wireless printer have you? Maybe you have interference from something? (I have no real idea, but my son tells me these kinds of things ;) )

My sister in law lives in NH. She had AT&T service until their tower went down. When they fixed it she couldn't get service anymore. She then tried Verison but couldn't get service and has had to go back to a land line. Since she had her online service with them, too, she is having to go to McDonald's to get her email. She is very frustrated.

Like violets in spring, their purple hues always melt my heart. I know those blocks will add the depth you are looking for.

I'm sure your Dad is delighted to see all three of his children together also.

For what it is worth... Verizon is pretty good out here in the mountains. Using it as we traveled east, only a few weeks ago, we had no problems with reception calling from the road.

I love that fabric combination -- the green is perfect with the purple print!
"Please don't leave," but don't expect much in the way of service? One wonders if these people ever listen to what they're saying themselves!!

Your new piece is lovely- finding the right color combination is not always easy but you seem to find the ones that sing. I am sure it will be a beautiful quilt too Wanda!

Well done for staying the course with so many posts. I love purple and green combos. I remember letting my parents know I wanted my bedroom those colours and came home to find wishy washy lilac and sage....
I have you to blame for the quilt I'm just working on, Phillip Jacobs x2 + Kaffe x 1...... What can I say, I've given in to temptation.
