2 days' blocks

Here are the blocks I made in 2 days, not necessarily the layout I will use.  I just wanted to get them up on the design wall.  They are only 7" finished so I may still go back and add one more round.  Then they will still only be 9" finished size so it will take a lot of them to make a good size quilt.  I also sewed 3 more blocks for my triangle blocks but I didn't take a picture of them.

We had a couple thunderstorms last night so my flowers have finally gotten watered.  The ground was really dry so maybe the weeds will pull out easier now.

Somebody asked me if I ever slept.. I think the same question applies to you. I used to get as much done as you do, but lately I have been having trouble concentrating. I hope a change of scenery helps.
Your quilts are always beautiful.

You really were able to get quite a bit accomplished. They look fabulous!! I always love playing with the layout, so don't settle just yet.

Layout is the real key with a scrappy quilt. You will get the right one. Chris

I love log cabin quilts and this one is going to be lovely! I have a log cabin quilt that needs finished quilted. It has been sitting so long waiting to be finished it is going to be considered vintage soon! I sure you will have this one done in no time!

Your work has really made me think about value. I just love the way you use prints as solids. This looks great by the way.

There's nothing better than a log cabin block...especially using gorgeous fabrics like you have!

Your log cabin blocks are beautiful- are your strips 1 1/2 inch strips? Log cabin is such a versatile pattern- the setting makes it look so different. As always love your fabric choices.

Anna

How I love log cabin blocks. Yours are beautiful. You have reminded me of a stack I have that really need to be put together. If only there were more hours in the day....

you got a lot done, especially in summer when so much else is calling to be done, like that weeding. Here in Saskatchewan we've had lots of rain, so it's been great for the flowers, and the weeds!

Hi Wanda,
Beautiful quilt blocks as always.
Do you recommend precutting your strips for the logs vs. sewing from a longer strip and trimming as you go? The method you used (plus your "go power" got lots done relatively quickly!
Keep cool.

Working backwards on viewing your posts, this looks like a totally different piece with this layout.
