One step forward, two steps back

Yesterday was a total wipeout.  I started cleaning up my studio while I watched a couple recorded shows and ended up with a bigger mess than when I started.  It rained off and on all day and ended up pretty humid.  I hadn't turned on my 2 little air conditioners so I was wiped out by day's end.  I can't tolerate heat and humidity very well.  Today I have to get serious about cleaning the house since I let it go while I had an extremely busy May and first week in June.

Yesterday was humid here too, but we had a spectacular thunderstorm last night which has cleared the air and perked the garden up no end. DH is playing cricket this afternoon, so is glad of the cooler air.

It was a bit humid here yesterday too, but we had rain and more rain overnight and it's quite cool this morning. I hope you feel better today.

We had a downpour last night. I am sure it was a lot of rain. Won't have to water the garden. I did everything but sew yesterday. Today I plan on getting in there. Have a good one. Chris

you are lucky you do not need your air on all the time. We have had it turned on since spring otherwise in the spring we get all the pollen in the house which causes us both fits. It gets very humid here although some days are better than others. It has been close to 90 for a week and maybe will get in it this week. We are lucky in the country and do not have the heat build up from the pavement like it does in town - there it has been in the 90's - here in the shade and away from pavement high 80's.

We all have days like that so I think we can all relate. Good luck!

But isn't that the way it always is when you start to clean? It is with me. ;) And I surely know what you mean about humidity! The downside of our lush tropical growth here in Houston is the near constant heat and humidity. Thank God for air conditioning!

You flower pot still looks mighty good!

Okay but Wanda, just so you know, in case you forgot - today is "rest day" and "no call Sunday." That means you're supposed to rest and the phone isn't supposed to ring. It's my secret guiding rule at LeeHaven which makes the phone an issue - but still.

Ugh, I'm with you on heat and humidity.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I can second every item in your post- the heat and humidity, the mess getting worse before it gets better, letting the house go. I'm cleaning today, too.

Always a treat to see your lovely flowers. You could show Martha Stewart a thing or two. I hope your summer weather is tolerable. We had a few days of 80's early in May... and it has been below average temps ever since. My Iris have not bloomed yet and I blame our cool weather. No matter where a person lives our weather patterns are so different anymore.

I say poop on the housework, let's admire your sweet potato vine! We've had CRAZY weather all day and the earth is too wet for even pulling weeds .. maybe I'll do a bit of the dread housework myself!
bummer ...

So glad to see your note that blogger is unavailable...I check out your posts most mornings and was surprised that there was no post today. Hope your day is terrific!

We had lots of heat and humidity in Maryland until yesterday afternoon when a huge storm came through with tornado warnings....the storm left and so did the humidity....today will be in the 70's and lovely. I will be out in my garden!!

love reading your posts and will be looking forward to Blogger's availability!
