It's a bouquet......

11 of the 14 buds on 2 plants have opened. I have never had so many in bloom at one time. I can forget about how cold it is outside and how much snow we have on the ground every time I pass by this bouquet.I didn't sew at all yesterday. It was one of those days of sorting through things and enjoying all of the "stuff". A couple people mentioned some things I could make with those narrow strips so I thought I would put some links here and here and here (scroll down past the yo-yos) for previous things I have made with them. 2 of my readers are taking this batch off my hands and I will be creating more bags full before we know it. I had a huge scrapbag in the basement from about 3 years ago. I went through it and pulled some more that were at least 3/4" and also found a bunch of selvages in there. Three years ago the selvage quilt trend hadn't started yet.

Now I hope to make some decisions today on the last 3 pieces I have been working on.

The amaryllis look just positively gorgeous!! They do amaze me, although I have never had any. I definitely think the sky is the the limit with your strips. You can do so much with them.

Those amaryllis are SO beautiful, just what you need to look at on a gray winter day. Thanks for the eye candy!

Checked out your links--those strip quilts are amazing!

The flowers are beautiful! What a bright spot they do lend to the dreary weather. I have been following your scrap adventures and I was wondering if you want mine?! Just kidding. I started sorting mine last fall and they are still sitting where I left them last fall. One of these days ...

GLORIOUS!!!! Just what my snowed-in soul needed this morning!

the flowers are beautiful. Do you keep your bulbs every year and keep them over the summer and then try to have them bloom again in the winter? If you do keep them how do you care for them so they bloom each year?

Those amaryllis are stunning! I can see how they wash away the winter blues.

I loved all of your small piece projects - especially the one with the stitched flowers. I usually use my small pieces for postcards, but that was beautiful. When you have more scraps please let me know.

Have a great weekend.

Oh Wanda!! The amaryllis is truly awesome!! They must know you care for them and will tease them into blooming again! ;) My mother always had them for several years, blooming again and again. The colors of the flowers will inspire you to another lovely project. Gail Norback

Wow. I only have one stem in flower and that only has two blooms not the normal four. Have you got mine?

So many buds! Did you give them hormons?

Oh my! Those Amaryllis are stunning! I have never had so many at one time. Very beautiful on a cold day like today. I love all your scrap quilts too. I even spent a couple of hours this morning sorting through my scraps and sewing some into strips. Mine aren't nearly as colourful as yours, but at least I am dealing with my scrapz in a creative way! Thanks Wanda!

glorious, I have only three blooms on the one in my sewing room. It a bulb I have held over three years. I think your use of color is just out of this world. I wish I could be more brave.

Your Bouquet is beautiful!
I love your little stippy 'placemat'- though I think I would hang it up, vertically, and enjoy the colours!
