Looking for projects...

I'm still going through all of the cut or started projects to put on my daily list so I can get back on track. I cut all of these pastel strips, mostly Kaffe fabric with a few Roberta Horton plaids, a year ago spring thinking I was going to make this as my summer quilt last year. Here is the inspiration quilt, another Kaffe Fassett quilt in one of his books. It looks so soft and old fashioned.
It was a cold day yesterday. Our high temperature was the normal low for the day. It looks like a cool week ahead too. I'm looking forward to Indian Summer, if it happens this year.

The pastel stripe quilt is so wonderful! Because the main contrast, orange and purple, is quite daring. And it looks great with the magnolia in front.

Wow what a great selection of fabrics to make your quilt out of.

What a gorgeous quilt and it's a neat twist - Kaffe Fassett fabric in an quilt that has an antique look to it. I wish we'd get a little of that cool air - 92 degrees here yesterday. I'm so ready for a break from the heat.

I like the way Kaffe takes old fashioned patterns and makes them "new" with his creative use of fabrics! He's such a genius! I can't wait to see your quilt...I'll bet I will like it even better than his!

OMG! My two favorite things: Kaffe Fassett and Roberta Horton plaids! Have you had those plaids for awhile? I haven't seen any in YEARS!

The fabrics you've chosen would make a fabulously interesting quilt! Is this one going in the rotation?
I don't think we're getting Indian Summer -- not by the looks of our long-range forecast. Rats!

I love that KF quilt, would not have thought to use the color/fabric combinations. Very nice. Your fabrics are going to look wonderful too!

Your fabrics would make a very nice version of teh KF quilt. My favorite part about it is how the not-quite-bright stripes add spark to an otherwise soft and romantic quilt. I bet you've got a good stripe or polka dot in your stash too!

I hope you do use those pretty pastels for a quilt. So soft & hugable!

Great strippy quilt and Kaffe does it so well. Do you agree?

That will be a lovely, soft and summery quilt.

Love the soft colors! We have been unseasonably cool, too with clouds and off and on misty rain for a couple of weeks with heavy rain at times. We have had a total of around 12 inches of rain in the last three weeks. We are trying to paint the trim and eaves on our house to no avail.
