Headache day

I got up with another miserable migraine yesterday......
This changeable weather is so hard on the head. I just cut the rest of the 9 patch pieces from the strips that were already sewn and sewed most of them into blocks. Here are all of the varieties that are sewn so far. I have 3 more sets to sew and then I am ready to design on Wed.
I also moved the design wall and got the bin of Christmas fabrics out and chose the border for the Strips 'n Curves quilt. I'll show that after they are sewn on.

I still haven't chosen a new project for Mondays but I think it will be one that just needs a border sewn on. I have several of those.

I wish I knew some tried and true remedy for your migraines. Sorry that you suffer from them. I hope you are feeling better today.

I'm impressed by how your projects are all progressing! You go, girl!

I think yesterday was a slow day for everyone!

Sorry to hear about the migraine. It was hot, humid and stormed off and on all day yesterday here. The only thing I got done was to go for a bike ride in between the rains. Love the looks of those 9 patches. I am looking forward to Wed to see it on the wall.

It's a good thing you don't live where you get Chinooks - they are killer for migraine sufferers. Take it easy today.

Same weather patterns here and same migraine. Woke up with it yesterday and it continues today. Hope yours is gone soon!
And the vanilla quilt blocks are looking fantastic!

Looks like you are 'stirring in some sherbet' with your vanilla blocks. This is going to be an elegant piece.

Migraine's are so wicked, I too wish there was an instant cure for all of you that suffer from them.

I didn't have that headache, but I got NOTHING done this horrible weekend. I stayed in my bedroom with the a/c and did some reading.

I hope that's the last we see of 105 heat indexes for this year.

Hey Wanda,

My friend went to a special wellness center - she was suffering from a terrible migraine. The woman disappeared and came back putting something cold on my friend's head. She found out she taken two packages of frozen peas out of the freezer and she said she had immediate relief. I said wow!! I have no idea as I've been blessed with no migraine headaches. There is apparently some sort of tea that can be drank that helps. The tea lady wasn't at the Farmer's Market - so I don't know when I'll get the answer. If I find anything out I will let you know.
Girl - if you felt good you'd be so dangerous with the sewing machine. You'd probably have three quilts a day posted!!

I'm going to get my works in progress photographed and try to get them up on my blog within the next couple of weeks. You've so inspired me to get things done!!

My best -

Sorry you are not feeling well. Hope you are feeling better soon. Those nine patches look so soft and sweet - very unlike your bright colors.

May I ask what type of steam iron you use? I am on my second Black & Decker Steam Express and was very satisfied--until I spent last week quilting at my sister-in-law's house and using her Rowenta. Such steam! When I plugged in my B&D today & tried to press a seam--well, although my latest B&D is only 3-4 months old, I would seriously consider putting out the money for a Rowenta. I wanted to learn what you use, however, before I spend my money.

Hi Wanda,
Bummer about the headache. I get em too, but related to hormones, not the weather (yet).
Guess the only way to prevent yours is to get rid of weather fronts moving though (hah, like that'll happen).

I am seeing the wisdom in working on different projects every day. That way you won't get sick of one thing, but it still gets done!
