Layout fun

I have 8 blocks done now so it was layout fun time. On point horizontal division.
On point vertical division.
If I do them on point I can fill in with half blocks on the sides or pick a fabric for setting triangles. I did the first two quilts with straight rows. Here is the link to the summer and autumn quilts.
Did you know you could have typed Lady of the Lake in the search box at the top of the blog and it would have brought up all of the posts with those words in them? That is what I did to locate the post for the link.

Interesting to see what a difference the layout makes!

So fun to see your layout options AND the other quilts you have made using this pattern. And no, I did not know about the search box options; I just learned something new today. Thank you!

Oooh, lovely! I did a red and white Lady a year ago, and deciding on the prientation was by far the hardest part. (I ended up putting them on point)

Wow, can't believe how different they look just from the way you turned them. I'd vote for the third one but whatever you do will be marvelous as always.

These are looking really nice, Wanda. It's great to have so many layout options.

is this... a quilt in one (mostly) color?

You can't go wrong with any of them, but my favorite is the on point horizontal division. The strong horizontal lines balance out the vertical quilt. Love these blocks!

Well, I know you didn't ask, but I like the on-point/vertical layout. :-) If I thought too much about it I might mention something about dark values being symmetrically placed (but I won't!).

The block pattern is tres impressive and as usual your fabrics are stunning and you make them look so perfectly put together. I'm typing all of this with a "better you than me" face... LOL!

I am a sucker for on point layouts and I like the middle one best. Playing around on the design wall has to be the most fun part of quilting.

I really like the horizontal point layout!

I love the on point vertical layout on this piece! If you end up with this I shall look forward to seeing what fabric you use for the setting triangles!

I think I like the vertical on point the best. Very nice colours.

I really like them set on point on the horizontal.

I like the on point settings a lot...though they will be pretty no matter how you set them. I looked at the first ones you did too and they are pretty too, especially fall.

They show off so much better on vertical point, in my opinion. And I know you will arrange them magically and I will love what you create.

Happy Easter ~

OR. . .you could make the quilt square, put sleeves on two sides, and hang it either vertically or horizontally as the whim invites!
