Cobblestones

I did a little research on cobblestones, and even though Wikepedia says they have to be rounded, a site I visited is selling antique European cobblestones pictured below. They are granite and come in a variety of colors. I think I will use it as the title for my "favorite quilt" series. Thanks Jean for the idea. Now the other idea came from VickiF from Michigan. She suggested cobblesticks for my "second favorite" quilt series. I am trying to find a reference to the word to make sure there is nothing negative about it because I like the word. So far I think it has been used as and exclamation similar to Oh Fiddlesticks. The only other reference is something to do with sledding, but I'm not sure what. Does anybody have any information about the word "Cobblesticks"?

Love both word references for the quilts. But I don't have any info on cobblesticks. Although, fiddlesticks is a great name too!

Glad I was able to help with the name-changing, Wanda.

Haven't heard of Cobblesticks at all, but I agree with Jackie, fiddlesticks would be good too. Then you would have a good reason to say it once in awhile too!

A google book search yields: COBBLE-STICK.— The set-stick or piece of wood used to keep a horse's traces the proper distance apart.

I DO love the idea of Cobblestones 1, 2, 3 etc. ~ no worries about anyone taking the name the wrong way (intentional or unitentional)

I have never heard of cobblesticks but just because something isn't even a word doesn't mean you can't use it! If you cant' find a meaning, you can just make one up. LIke Tonya's "fungly".
